Vignesh Kadirvel
Chief Experience Officer
Hey there, folks,
You know a friend who's been around forever and feels more like family? For me, that's Viggy, short for Vignesh. During college, I knew Vignesh but we connected in Chennai and I had no idea that this connection would last for a whopping 25 years and counting. What a ride!
So, let me take you back to post-college days. We landed in Chennai, and for nearly three years, we owned the pool places in the city (Hot Shots in Nungambakkam was our go-to place for the weekend). Good times, I tell you! But it wasn't just about pool. Chennai's streets were as much fun, thanks to Viggy's trusty Kinetic Honda and occasionally, the Maruti 800. Besant Nagar, Adyar, ECR and more – we explored them all, and every spot has a story to share.
Now, about Viggy – he's always full of energy. Challenges don't scare him; he tackles them head-on. He brings life to every chat and is as grounded as they come. Whenever I need advice, he is my go-to. Life sometimes took us down different roads, but we never drifted apart. Viggy's yearly letters kept us connected (he tells its been more than a decade since he has written one of his annual letters .. time flies !), keeping our bond strong, no matter how far apart we were.
What makes our friendship so special is that there's no need for pretense. Our talks are honest, and we can chat about anything. That's the kind of comfort and fun you can't put into words. Also, he's a great beer buddy - it's been a while, now that I think of it, but I am sure the next Friday happy hour is just around the corner ..
As we come together at our college reunion, I'm grateful for these 25 years of friendship with Viggy. He's not just a friend; he's one of the closest people in my life. Here's to the awesome memories we've made and the many more yet to come. Our journey is a great example of the power of college friendships, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for all of us. Cheers!
Viggy is one of the driving forces planning the reunion, bringing us all together, partnering with the college and he already has many ideas to make the reunion memorable for all of us.
