Debarshi Roy Chowdhury

DRC

In life, you come across some people who are extremely kind, bring joy to all around them, remain calm during stressful times and stay focused on doing the right things at the right times. Debarshi or DRC as we loved to call him was one of them, someone with good values.

I feel fortunate to have been someone who knew DRC closely. We were neighbors at AGATE, were in the same department (ChemE), Durga pujo and the Bengali link definitely helped form a bond that kept us close throughout our REC days. Throughout the journey, we shared many laughs and several great moments whether personal or academic accomplishments. DRC also loved to celebrate others successes.

After our REC years, it was no surprise that DRC went on to further his education and attained success professionally. Although we exchanged the occasional Facebook greetings, I learned that he started a loving family. He must be so loved and missed by his family and new friends circle.

DRC lived life to the fullest and always focused on staying positive. In the words of Maya Angelou - “It takes courage to be kind”. DRC epitomizes that. His soul lives on and continues to bring joy to us. We love you DRC. Cheers to a great life. Om Shanti!
