N Chandru

Ambience Alchemist

Reflecting on my college days with Chandru brings a distinct image to mind: him, invariably clad in a white veshti and shirt. During our second year, our little group of Tamil friends, including Prasath and Kamalakannan, would gather in the hostel corridors. We'd playfully tease Chandru about his unique walk and talk, and he would often slip away, dodging our banter with a smile.

By the third year, Chandru and I had forged a deep friendship, and this bond only strengthened in our final year. Even when I lived off-campus, Chandru, Pradeep, and a few others would frequently come together, spending hours in lively conversation and laughter.

Time and circumstances led us to lose touch after college, but a reunion at Thiyagu’s place a few years back magically rekindled our connection. It was as if no time had passed; the ease and trust we shared in college instantly resurfaced. Meeting his family and his adorable daughter was a joy. It reaffirmed my belief that some friendships, like ours, truly last a lifetime. Chandru represents the EEE department in the organizing committee.
